No one was injured when a north county man fired rounds from an assault rifle into his door and floor on Thursday afternoon.
William Calebaugh, 66, was arrested in front of his home on Saddlebronc at about 2:48 p.m.
Deputies received a call that shots had been fired inside the home at about 2:30 p.m. They were setting up a perimeter around the home when Calebaugh came out unarmed. He was taken into custody without incident. The only damage was to his home.
Undersheriff Paul Howell confirmed that deputies responded to the same address Nov. 25, 2009, for an incident in which Calebaugh was accused of threatening his wife with a .45-caliber handgun.
After that incident, Calebaugh told the judge he was disposing of his firearms.
He is being held in lieu of $50,500 bail on charges of discharging a firearm while intoxicated.
