FRESNO, Calif. - Ryan Colburn passed for 206 yards and two touchdowns and Fresno State played shutout defense in the second half to defeat Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo 38-17 on Saturday night.
Tracy Slocum added 71 rushing yards and a touchdown for the Bulldogs (3-1), who improved to 8-0 against FCS opponents during coach Pat HillÈs 14-year tenure.
Andre Broadous had 82 rushing yards but just 18 passing for Cal Poly in the first meeting between the central California schools since 1985.
The Mustangs (3-2) are 4-21 against FBS opponents since 1980.
Fresno State outscored Cal Poly 17-0 in the second half after the Mustangs pulled to within 21-17 at halftime by scoring two touchdowns in the final 46 seconds of the second quarter.
Robbie Rouse had a 9-yard touchdown run for the Bulldogs, and Colburn added an 11-yard touchdown pass to A.J. Johnson to complete the scoring.
UC Davis 14,
San Jose State 13
SAN JOSE, Calif. - Redshirt freshman Randy Wright threw for 223 yards and a touchdown and UC Davis came from behind to knock off San Jose State.
Sean Creadick caught six passes for 88 yards as the Aggies (2-3) ended a five-game losing streak against the Spartans. Wright was 20-of-34 passing and did not throw an interception.
UC Davis won its first game against an FBS opponent since upsetting Stanford 20-17 in 2005, the only other time it accomplished the feat.
Jordan La Secla threw for 162 yards on 11-of-17 passing as the Spartans (1-3) lost for the first time to an FCS team. Lamon Muldrow rushed for 137 yards on 22 carries.
Wright passed for 109 of his yards in the third quarter, throwing a 4-yard touchdown pass to Tom Hemmingsen. Nick Aprile also scored for the Aggies following a fumble recovery on the Spartans' 9-yard line.
Idaho 33, W. Michigan 13
KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Nathan Enderle threw for 380 yards and three touchdowns as Idaho defeated Western Michigan.
Enderle was 30 of 49, distributing his passes to 10 different receivers, and had scoring throws of 30, 24 and 4 yards. Justin Hernande added a TD on a fumble recovery in the end zone for the Vandals (3-2).
Ansel Ponder scored the only touchdown for the Broncos (1-3) on a 7-yard pass from Alex Carder just before halftime.
John Potter's second field goal with 8:45 left in the third quarter pulled Western Michigan to within 17-13, but Idaho answered with 16 straight points.
The Vandals compiled 477 total yards while limiting the Broncos to 184.
