Carson 16,
Douglas 13, OT
Offense: The offensive line never dominated like it did the second half of the Manogue game. Dylan Sawyers, who missed most of the second half with a hip injury, had three good runs (12, 27, 62) en route to a 130-yard effort, but otherwise he was bottled up. Quarterback Trey Jensen got on a nice little streak in the second half, and he had a few passes dropped, too.
Defense: Douglas had a nice game plan the entire game. Carson's interior defense had trouble stopping the Tigers, who gained more than 440 yards total offense. The defense gave up 13 plays of 10 or more yards. The defense bent a bunch, but pitched a shutout in the final half. The defense also had a big interception in the overtime by Logan Peternell.
Special Teams: Austin Pacheco went 3-for-3 on field goals, including a 45-yarder that would have been good from 50, and the game-winning 24-yarder in overtime. Pacheco also had good distance on his kickoffs and pinned Douglas down one time with a booming punt.
The Senators did a good job handling Douglas' onside/squib kicks.
