SIDNEY, Neb. (AP) - Nebraska authorities are still investigating a collision on Interstate 80 that claimed the life of a 49-year-old Nevada woman.
Cheyenne County Attorney Paul Schaub said Tuesday that no citations have been issued to the driver of the motorcycle or the semitrailer that collided Sunday afternoon east of Sidney.
The Nebraska State Patrol says 45-year-old Alfred Christian was driving the motorcycle carrying him and Elise Hinton, both of Minden, when its front tire went flat.
The patrol says Christian lost control of the bike, and it hit the side of the semi driven by 52-year-old Kenneth Brown, of St. Paris, Ohio. Brown was not hurt.
Hinton died at the scene. The patrol says Christian was flown to Scottsbluff for treatment.
