December trial dates were set Tuesday for four people connected to a gang shooting on Lompa Lane in August.

Jose Antonio Adrian, 39, Joseph Lopez, 19, and Jacqueline Romero Magana, 19, will be tried together on Dec. 13.

Each entered a not guilty plea to charges of drug trafficking when they appeared Tuesday before Judge Jim Wilson in District Court.

The three were among eight people arrested Aug. 14 after gunfire erupted off Lompa Lane, leaving an apartment complex riddled with bullet casings and holes, but no injuries.

Witnesses reported seeing the suspected targets run into nearby apartments, and when officers went to those apartments, they allegedly found drugs inside, according to police reports.

On Aug. 19 deputies received information that Rigoberto Vega Aguilar, 29, also was involved in the shooting, according to police reports. When officers contacted Vega Aguilar at his North Edmonds Drive apartment, deputies also allegedly found methamphetamine and a firearm.

Vega Aguilar has a lengthy criminal history in Carson City, including shooting two men. The victims refused to testify against him, resulting in reduced charges.

He pleaded not guilty before Wilson on Tuesday to possession of methamphetamine and being a restricted person in possession of a firearm.

According to Immigration and Custom's Enforcement, ICE has placed an immigration detainer on Vega Aguilar to ensure he comes into ICE custody after the local charges are adjudicated.

No one has been charged with the shooting.
