Jeanne Belle Flaim, 76, passed away October 12, 2010. She was born to Walter and Jean Loesch on May 6, 1934 in Sacramento. The oldest of six children, she went to school in Sacramento and graduated from McClathey High in 1952. After graduating she went to work at Pacific Telephone and Telegraph where she started drawing maps for construction crews to set telephone poles in the Sacramento area. In May 1956 she married Milton Flaim, they had a service station where she greeted customers, pumped gas and did bookkeeping for the business. In 1957 Milton was drafted into the military and she moved to Camarillo to be with her parents. Jeanne went to work at Point Mugu, a military test facility with her dad, drawing electrical schematics taken from the engineers' ideas, and then designed component parts for missiles and aircraft.
In March 1959 they returned to Sacramento to continue operating their service station, which was being run by Milt's parents while away.
They were then blessed with two beautiful daughters, Karen and Cheri.
In 1969 they moved to Lake Tahoe, and in 1984 they moved to Carson City where they enjoyed each other's company beyond any words. She planted many flowers and trees and enjoyed life to the fullest.
She will always be remembered by the way she touched so many people, people she did not know she could talk to as if she had known them all her life, and would brighten any room she was in. Her family will remember her by the morning skies, the birds in the beautiful yard she created, when her geese fly by in the morning and afternoon, and the beautiful sunrises and sunsets that she enjoyed.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 54 years; daughter Karen Church; grandson Kyle Church; daughter and son-in- law Cheri and Brent Sears; grandsons Nick Hagen and Austin Sears; brothers Richard and Walt; sisters Nancy, Betty and Pat; and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m. October 16 at Autumn Funerals & Cremation.
