Explain your background and how this qualifies you for the position you are seeking.

I have had the honor of serving as your Assemblyman for the past eight years. Before this I was the executive director of the Nevada League of Cities representing all cities at the Legislature. I have also served as the mayor of Yerington and represented the city at the Legislature. I have served on major committees during my eight years including Government Affairs, Ways and Means (the money committee) Taxation, and the Natural Resources, Mining & Agriculture Committee. I have also served on various interim committees.

What are the most important issues that you would address if elected? 

The most important issues for this session will be the budget and reapportionment. Both of these issues will take up much of the time this session. Serving on Ways & Means will put my past experience  to good use. With 17 or more new legislators we will be short on experience, but we will have some new fresh minds to help with the work at hand.

Why should voters choose you over other candidate?

I feel my dedication of time and past service, along with my experience, qualifies me for the assignment. I will work as a full time legislator and will do in the future as I have done in the past in returning phone calls and e-mails in a timely manner.
