Explain your background and how this qualifies you for the position you are
seeking.
I am a certified Real & Personal Property Tax Appraiser. I have worked in
the Storey County Assessor's office for seven years alongside the current
assessor and have over 300 hours of education directly related to the daily
operations of the Assessor's Office such as: Tax appraisals, mapping,
management, ethics, etc. Previously I worked for years in many aspects of
the construction field starting in accounting then on to project
asst./management, drafting, estimating, residential electrician, customer
service, etc. The Assessor's Office requires knowledge in many different
areas. I am open, honest, friendly, and believe my background,
certifications and daily experiences in the Assessor's Office make me the
most qualified candidate.
What are the most important issues that you would address if elected?
With the complicated tax laws, I want the residents to know that my office
will be on hand to explain their valuations, tax caps or other office
related issues or questions. I would like to continue to move forward with
technology to help provide a clearer understanding of tax appraisal to the
residents.
Why should voters choose you over other candidate?
Voters should choose experience. With my certifications and knowledge of
the Assessor's Office I will be able to smoothly transition into the
position of assessor without requiring necessary training or interrupting
the daily processes of the office.

Explain your background and how this qualifies you for the position you are
seeking.
Working in administration for over 20 years and being a former licensed real
estate salesperson for 10 years has given me knowledge in both commercial
and residential development. I believe in honest and fair problem solving,
and think my years of working with people have prepared me to be effective
in addressing the public's concerns.
What are the most important issues that you would address if elected?
Along with improving information, I will work toward providing education
about the office, processes and procedures. I've always worked to find
solutions to people's problems and will make sure to have an open-door
policy in the Assessor's Office. I will run the office with complete
transparency, accountability, and good stewardship.
Why should voters choose you over other candidate?
I have the knowledge, skills and abilities to meet the challenges of this
office. I want a customer friendly experience for the taxpayer. Customer
service is my No. 1 priority.
