LAS VEGAS (AP) - Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich is launching his national jobs tour with a Las Vegas rally where he will stump for Republican U.S. Senate candidate Sharron Angle.
Gingrich's "Jobs Here, Jobs Now" tour kicks off in Arizona today then heads to California and Nevada with a rally for Angle and congressional candidate Joe Heck later in the day.
Angle's campaign has leaned mostly on grass-roots momentum and endorsements from tea party stars Sarah Palin and Arizona sheriff Joe Arpaio at GOP rallies in Nevada.
Meanwhile, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has brought in President Barack Obama, former President Bill Clinton and Vice President Joe Biden to talk him up in recent months.
