Veterans invited to Fritsch school celebration
Fritsch Elementary School, 504 Bath St., will host a Veteran's Day Program at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10 in front of the school. Students will sing patriotic songs and celebrate veterans everywhere. All veterans and military personnel are invited. RSVP to Lori at 283-1400.
Come help spiff up Highway 395 this weekend
A pre-Nevada Day Parade cleanup on Highway 395 is scheduled for 8 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 24.
Safety vests, collection bags and water will be furnished by the Carson City Democratic Women's Club. Gloves and a pickup tool are suggested for volunteers who will meet in the Carson Lanes' parking lot, 4600 Snyder Avenue.

Wine tasting for hospital auxiliary
Carson Tahoe Regional Healthcare Auxiliary is hosting a fundraiser wine tasting at Bella Fiore Wine Shop, 224 S. Carson St., 4-7 p.m. Sunday.
Tickets are $25 per person and may be purchased by contacting Gloria at 882-8162 or at the Carson Tahoe Regional Healthcare Auxiliary Gift Shop, in the lobby at the Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center, 1600 Medical Parkway.

Events offer legal help to people
The State Bar and Supreme Court have set up a free legal aid fair, 10 a.m. Thursday at the Carson Nugget.
Booths will be set up allowing those attending to ask lawyers for information on a variety of issues ranging from family law, divorce and custody to bankruptcy and wills, foreclosure and landlord/tenant issues.
