LAS VEGAS (AP) - Republican Sharron Angle remains an elusive candidate, skipping public appearances, dodging the press and largely avoiding voters in the final days of Nevada's U.S. Senate race.

Angle has kept a low-profile since a debate against Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid two weeks ago where neither candidate seemed to strike a fatal blow. She has emerged only to face a handful of private groups.

At a recent meeting with Las Vegas high school students, her campaign staff demanded the teenagers stop filming the discussion. A video leaked out anyway. The embarrassing footage showed her telling the Hispanic student group that some of its members looked Asian.

The tea party favorite has often avoided the press throughout the general election, rarely telling the media where she will be.

In contrast, Reid has held multiple public rallies in recent weeks.
