Here's a wrapup of Halloween events in the region. Trick or treating in Carson City is Sunday.

Carson City

• Safe Trick-or-Treat, 5-7 p.m. today and Sunday, Children's Museum of Northern Nevada, 813 N. Carson St. Includes crafts and candy. Admission is $3 for kids, free for parents. 5-7 p.m. Call 775-287-1858.

• The Salvation Army Harvest Carnival, 5-7 p.m., The Salvation Army, 661 Colorado St. Games, prizes, cotton candy, cupcake walk, popcorn. Free admission. Canned food donations appreciated. 775-887-9120.

• Trick or Treat at the Governor's Mansion, 5-8 p.m. Sunday. 606 Mountain St., Carson City.

• Fall Festival, 6-9 p.m. Sunday, Frontier Plaza Parking Lot, 1855 N. Carson St. The Church On North Carson Street will host a free festival for kids. Features prizes, music, candy, cakes, food, drinks and more. Call 883-0202.

• Grimes Castle (The Labyrinth) puts on the scare with haunted house from 6:30-9 p.m. today-Sunday in the old Gottschalks Building, 1443 S. Carson St. Call 315-1096.

CARSON VALLEY

• Harvest Festival at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1480 Douglas Ave., Gardnerville. 2:30-5 p.m. Sunday. Children's activities, food, candy, worship music. Non-threatening costumes welcome.

• The Douglas County Sheriff's Office's annual Trick or Treat Safety Street starts 3 p.m. Sunday in Minden's CVIC Hall. Information, 782-9941.

• The annual Dake House Spirit Tour, 7 p.m. today at 2242 Main St., Genoa. Bring flashlights and cameras. Refreshments. Cost is $7. Information, 782-4951.

• Calvary Chapel's Harvest Festival, 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the Douglas County Fairgrounds on Pinenut Road. Free food, drinks, games, candy, cookie decorating, cake walk, live entertainment. Admission is suggested donation of two unopened bags of candy per family. Non-frightening costumes encouraged. Information, 265-3259.

Virginia City

• The Goblin Parade down C Street begins at 5 p.m. Sunday. Children and adults are invited to dress in costume. Prizes will be given in several categories. The parade is followed by Virginia City businesses offering treats to tricksters.

• Fourth Ward School Museum, 537 S. C St., opens its doors Sunday, in conjunction with the Halloween Parade and Trick-Or-Treating on C Street. The Haunted House, including ghost stories runs from 6-8 p.m. Admission: $5 adults, $3 children 6 to 16. This is the final event of the season before the school closes for winter. It will reopen May 1, 2011.

• Halloween on the Comstock, today and Sunday. The Silver Queen Hotel, 28 N. C St., hosts two dinner seatings, at 5:30 and 7 p.m., ahead of paranormal ghost tours at 6 and 8 p.m. Tours depart from The Silver Queen. Lead by Debbie Bender and Tom Cruz of Bats in the Belfry Ghost Tours, visitors will be treated to an extensive walk through the Comstock, replete with stories and possible ghostly encounters. The tours are not recommended for children younger than 13. Cost: $20. Call 847-0440.

• Halloween Train Ride on The Virginia & Truckee Railroad, 35-minute rides Sunday at 6, 7 and 8 p.m. The train departs from the depot on F Street in Virginia City. Cost is $14 for adults (13 years and older) and $9 for children 12 and younger. Seating is limited. Call 775-847-0380 or visit carson

• The Washoe Club, 112 S. C St., hosts a Halloween Costume Party & Scary-oke at 7 p.m. today. The evening features Comstock Idol. Refreshments served courtesy of Red's Candies & Deli. • Ponderosa Saloon's Wicked Halloween Party, 8:30 p.m. Ponderosa Saloon, 106 S. C St., Virginia City. Dance to Blue Haven. Costume contest at midnight with cash prizes. Late night snacks, scary drink specials. 775-847-0757.

Dayton

• 2nd Annual Trunk or Treat, 5.-7 p.m. Sunday. The Connection Church, 37 Enterprise Way, Dayton. Candy, food, game booths, bounce house, clothes give away. Free. Call 775-246-8445.

• "Dayton Haunting," 5-10 p.m., at the Dayton Valley Community Center, 170 Pike St. Sponsored by Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce. The evening includes a Haunted Hayride, a gypsy tent with interactive tricks and treats, as well as a community dance with a live band. Full Moon Paranormal Investigators will show the proper use of ghost hunting tools and "ghostly" video shot in Dayton and Virginia City. Refreshments such as chili, carmel apples and popcorn balls available for purchase. Tickets for the dance only, cost $5 or $10 covers all the events.
