Kaymer shoots 74, probably won't catch Tiger for No. 1 ranking

SOTOGRANDE, Spain (AP) - Martin Kaymer dropped out of position to take over the No. 1 ranking from Tiger Woods, falling 11 shots behind leader Graeme McDowell on Friday in the Andalucia Masters.

Kaymer struggled to a 3-over 74 in the second round to seemingly fall out of contention for the victory he needs to pass Woods. McDowell was 7-under after a 67. Gareth Maybin was two strokes back after a 68.

LPGA Hana Bank Championship

INCHEON, South Korea (AP) - American Vicky Hurst and South Korea's Song-Hee Kim shot 4-under 68s in chilly conditions to share the first-round lead in the LPGA Hana Bank Championship.

Hurst and Kim, both winless on the LPGA Tour, each had five birdies and a bogey on Sky 72 Golf Club's Ocean Course in the second of three straight events in Asia.

Defending champion Na Yeon Choi and Amy Hung opened with 69s, and Michelle Wie birdied the final two holes to top the group at 70 along with Jimin Kang, coming off a victory in the LPGA Malaysia.

Top-ranked Cristie Kerr, 50-year-old Juli Inkster and Suzann Pettersen shot 71s, Paula Creamer and Morgan Pressel had 72s, and second-ranked South Korean star Jiyai Shin opened with a 73.

Asia Pacific Classic

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP) - Thailand Pariya Junhasavasdikul birdied five of the final seven holes for a 6-under 65 and a share of the second-round lead with Ben Crane in the inaugural Asia Pacific Classic.

Pariya, a former Purdue player, matched Crane (64) at 11-under 131 in the first PGA Tour-sanctioned event in Southeast Asia. Ryan Moore (68) and first-round leader Ricky Barnes (69) were 10 under at The Mines, Carl Pettersson (69) was 9 under, and Adam Scott (65), Luke Donald (67) and D.J. Trahan (67) were 8 under.

AT&T Championship

SAN ANTONIO (AP) - Hale Irwin shot his age for the first time on the Champions Tour, finishing with a 6-under 65 for a share of the first-round lead in the AT&T Championship with John Cook, Larry Nelson, Chien Soon Lu and Mark Wiebe. Cook won the 2007 and 2008 tournaments.

Mark Calcavecchia, Russ Cochran, Gene Jones, Chip Beck, Keith Fergus, Dan Forsman, Steve Lowery, Rod Spittle, Javier Sanchez and Kirk Hanefeld opened with 66s at Oak Hills Country Club.

The tournament is the Champions Tour's final full-field event of the year. The top 30 on the money list will advance to the season-ending Charles Schwab Cup Championship next week at Harding Park in San Francisco.

Nationwide Tour Championship

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Colt Knost shot a 3-under 69 in windy conditions for a share of the second-round lead with Joe Affrunti and Brendan Steele in the Nationwide Tour Championship, the last chance for all three to earn 2011 PGA Tour cards through the developmental circuit money list.

Joe Affrunti and Brendan Steele shot 71s to match Knost, the 2007 U.S. Amateur champion, at 7-under 137 on the Daniel Island Club's Ralston Creek course. The top 25 on the money list after the tournament will earn PGA Tour cards. Steele is 30th on the money list, Affrunti 34th and Knost 36th.

Kevin Kisner (67), J.J. Killeen (68) and David Hearn were a stroke back.
