Carson High's boys tennis team evened its record at 1-1 with a 13-5 win over Incline Thursday afternoon at Carson.
"It went pretty well," Carson coach Kevin Fallon said. "Unfortunately Incline didn't have enough players to field a third doubles team. Two of their singles players (Scott Garfinkle and Alex Schrage) were pretty good.
"Some of our guys in doubles were overwhelmed against McQueen, so today was a good bounce back match for them. There was no reason to play Blake in the third set."
Blake Sly went 2-0 in singles and didn't drop a set, while Peter Brinson went 2-1, losing to Garfinkle.
Connor Fallon and Jake Trapp went 2-0 in doubles as did J.J. Aragon and Ben Drozdoff. Matt Boggs and Casey Reid, and Nick Forbes and Zach Rogers also won. Carson had three wins via walkovers.
Against McQueen, Carson was swept in doubles, and that made the difference in the 11-7 loss.
