Anne-Marie White of Carson City was named one of 645 winners out of 6,000 applicants nationwide in the annual Scholarships for Military Children Program.
White, daughter of Deborah and Raymond White, will receive a $1,500 scholarship to be awarded at Fallon Naval Air Station. She plans to attend the University of Southern California.
Her school and community activities include volunteer music teacher, assistant director of Seeliger Singers Choir, Alpha Delta Chi, and dance.
