Carson Guard reception: The victorious Carson Guard held a reception at their Armory ... the men showed that they could go through their evolutions with as much precision as they could shoot. Capt. Moger with an elegantly waxed moustache and goatee was the center of attraction.

She expostulated with him on his conduct in a manner that no sober man could bare to understand. Then her prohibition blood rose to a boiling point, and she turned the hose on him. He staggered to his feet, and she drenched his clothes from head to foot ... chasing him past the Appeal.
