A Silver Springs man was jailed Saturday after he allegedly offered a Carson City deputy $20 to not arrest him.

According to the arrest report, Jordan Royce Hearn-Stoltz, 18, was driving on East William Street just before 11 p.m. Saturday when Carson City Sheriff's Deputy Gary Underhill stopped him after noticing the license plate was dangling from the back of his car.

When Underhill ran the man's name, according to the report, it was discovered his license was revoked for suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs.

After Underhill arrested and handcuffed Hearn-Stoltz on a misdemeanor charge of driving on a revoked license, the suspect allegedly offered the deputy $20 to "forget about the arrest and drive him home," the report states.

Hearn-Stoltz allegedly told Underhill his brother-in-law "bribed the police and it worked," the report states.

Underhill additionally booked Hearn-Stoltz into the Carson City Jail on suspicion of felony bribery of a police officer.

His bail is set at $15,000.
