(AP) - A computer problem that delayed unemployment insurance payments to 86,000 Nevadans has been fixed, but officials say it could be another day or so before money is credit to accounts.

Employment Security Administrator Cynthia Jones says the problem was discovered overnight, and the agency worked all day Wednesday to try to pinpoint the problem.

Jones says the agency may not know until Thursday when recipients' accounts will be credited.

She urged claimants not to call the unemployment insurance claim centers or the VISA debit card center, because workers there do not have any additional information.

She says updates will be posted on the agency's website, www.nvdetr.org.

Jones also advises anyone who wants to check their account balance to do so online at www.EPPICard.com. to avoid a potential balance inquiry fee.
