Kelly and Miller Bros. circus featuring the largest herd of elephants will be in Carson. Elephants do tricks and play a vital part in moving the circus.

Births at Carson-Tahoe Hospital: To Mistylynn and Travis Haggard, a daughter; to Robyn and Robert Kaulfuss, a son.

Student enrollment is up 65 more students than the previous year. The district's official count was 8,363 students.
