Carson City
The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:
• Brian Christopher Ohl, 30, unemployed of Carson City, was arrested at 11:40 a.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of Burton Street on suspicion of two counts of felony grand larceny. He allegedly stole his sister's $1,600 engagement ring and pawned it for $125. During an interview with police about the ring, Ohl also allegedly admitted taking $30,000 in cash and jewelry from his parents. Bail was set at $25,000.
• Gregory Lee Snelson, 30, unemployed from Carson City, was arrested at 4:13 p.m. Tuesday in the 600 block of Hot Springs Road on suspicion of felony grand larceny. Bail was set at $25,000.
• Lance D. Cowperthwaite, 21, unemployed from Carson City, was arrested at 11:45 p.m. Tuesday on suspicion of gross misdemeanor possession of dangerous weapon. Bail was set at $3,000.
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:
• A father reported at 7:42 a.m. his daughter was refusing to go to school because another girl threatened to kill her.
• Accident at West Seventh and Curry streets at 11:07 a.m.
• A woman reported at 2:09 p.m. that her boss battered her earlier in the day, bruising her arm and elbow.
• Report of a counterfeit $100 bill passed at the Rand Avenue Motel at 4:55 p.m.

• Report of a portable road sign shot up on Highway 50 Alternate in Fernley at 8:15 a.m.
• Coroner call on Robin Road in Yerington at 1:34 p.m.
• Residential burglary report on Pueblo Street in Stagecoach at 3:09 p.m.
• Misdemeanor arrest on Belmont Street in Mason Valley at 9:48 p.m.
