RENO (AP) - A Reno High School student has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with a stabbing on campus.
Washoe County School District Police Chief Mike Mieras says the 16-year-old boy was booked late Thurs-day night into the Washoe County Jail. Police say the stabbing was gang-related.
School officials say the fight broke out between two male students in a hallway between classes early Thursday afternoon.
The suspect is accused of stabbing the other student multiple times.
KOLO-TV reports the victim was released from a hospital intensive care unit today and is listed in fair condition.
The fight was broken up quickly by two teachers, one of whom was able to recover the knife.
