Dear Readers,
On Tuesday morning, Sept. 28, you'll find a fresh new Nevada Appeal waiting for you! Our new Tuesday edition is the result of feedback from our community, clearly indicating a demand for early week news in print.
We are very optimistic about the future of our community. Carson City has undergone some challenges over the past few years. But, we believe it's time to start rebuilding, and we feel an obligation to do our part. So much so that we're adding this publication day without any additional cost to you. Subscription prices will not increase with this addition.
We're not doing it alone. More than 30 local businesses have supported this effort. These business leaders understand that easy access to local news and information is critical to a healthy community. We hope you'll personally thank them by using their businesses for your purchases. Not only does this support your community news, but spending locally contributes to Carson City's economic health, creating a more vibrant community for everyone.
Your Tuesday edition will bring you some new features that we're very excited about. You'll find the Personal Success section holds information on landing and holding a job in this competitive market. You'll find more colorful, local photos from community events; and we hope you'll contribute some of your own. Healthy Living will offer ideas for active lifestyles. And Super-Couponing Tips will help you save money!
Please be aware that a few other changes will occur at the same time.
• Your TV Listing will be delivered to you only if you request it. This will help us avoid wasting paper. It's estimated that less than 20 percent of our subscribers use a printed form of the TV Listing. We thank you for working with us to make this important transition.
• The Early Week Extra will not be printed in the same format. Your Monday puzzles will be inside the C section of the Sunday paper. However, your Tuesday puzzles, of course, will be part of your new Tuesday Appeal.
• The C section of the Sunday Nevada Appeal will house Business news, People news and the classified section.
We are looking forward to your feedback on the new Tuesday edition! We continuously strive to satisfy our loyal readers and welcome your feedback and questions. I hope you'll feel free to e-mail or call me directly. You may also contact one of the managers listed below with any questions:
