Time is running out to register to vote.
The deadline to register to vote in Carson City for the Nov. 2 general election is Oct. 2 for mail-in applications.
You still can register to vote in person between Oct. 4-12 by showing up to the county clerk's office at 885 East Musser St.
The Carson City County Clerk will keep the following hours during the registration period:
• 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, 9
• 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Oct. 4-Oct. 8
• 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Oct. 11, 12
To register to vote you will need a driver's license and proof of residency, which includes a home address on the driver's license or a utility bill or bank statement.
