FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Ben DeLine kicked a 35-yard field goal as time expired, Pete Thomas and Raymond Carter each had three touchdowns and Colorado State defeated Idaho 36-34 on Saturday to end a 12-game losing streak.

Nathan Enderle threw for 347 yards and three touchdown for the Vandals (2-2), who accumulated 459 total yards.

Mississippi 55,

Fresno State 38

OXFORD, Miss. - Brandon Bolden rushed for a career-high 228 yards, including a 71-yard touchdown on the opening play of the second half, as Mississippi defeated previously unbeaten Fresno State 55-38 on Saturday night.

Ole Miss (2-2) rolled up 578 yards in total offense, including 425 on the ground, in the first meeting between the two schools. The Rebels scored six times in the opening seven offensive series to build an insurmountable 41-10 lead early in the third period. Fresno State (2-1) never got closer than 10 points again.

Southern Miss 13, Louisiana Tech 12

RUSTON, La. - Southern Miss withstood a furious rally by Louisiana Tech in the fourth quarter as the Golden Eagles held off the Bulldogs 13-12 on Saturday night.

Deron Wilson picked off Louisiana Tech quarterback Tarik Hakmi at the Southern Miss 20-yard line with 2:31 left on the clock to seal the win.

The Golden Eagles (3-1) led 13-3 in the fourth quarter and appeared on their way to victory against a Bulldogs (1-3) offense that struggled until late.

Kansas 42,

New Mexico State 16

LAWRENCE, Kan. - D.J. Beshears scored three touchdowns, including a 96-yard kickoff return, in the first half to propel Kansas to a 42-16 victory over the New Mexico State on Saturday night.

After Seth Smith's 1-yard touchdown plunge for the Aggies (0-3) tied the score at 7-7, Beshears returned the ensuing kickoff for the Jayhawks (2-2).

San Diego State 41,

Utah State 7

SAN DIEGO - Ryan Lindley threw for 362 yards and three touchdowns as San Diego State defeated Utah State 41-7 on Saturday night.

Vincent Brown caught five passes for 177 yards and two touchdowns for the Aztecs (3-1). His TD receptions were of 65 and 82 yards.

Utah State (1-3) scored its lone touchdown by Derrvin Speight midway through the third quarter.
