Donors fund more than 100 scholarships

Thanks to the generosity of donors throughout the community, the Western Nevada College Foundation has awarded more 100 scholarships for the 2010-2011 academic year.

The foundation will honor these donors and approximately 150 scholarship recipients at the 11th annual Scholarship Appreciation and Recognition Reception on Friday, Oct. 15, in Sarah Winnemucca Hall, Carson City campus.

Private giving makes a difference by providing scholarship support, funding equipment, and supporting special projects such as the Jack C. Davis Observatory, Wildcats athletics, or individual faculty projects.
