Obituary: Floyd Pitts Simmons Jr.

Floyd Pitts Simmons Jr., 65, of Minden died April 4, 2011, at the Veterans Hospital in Reno. He was born July 9, 1945, in Lebanon, Mo., to Floyd P. Sim-mons Sr. and Sybil D. (Snodgrass) Simmons. He is survived by his wife Jacqueline Simmons of Minden; children Floyd P. Simmons III of Placerville, Calif., James Kiely of Long Beach, Calif., Steve Kiely of Long Beach, Dana Regan of Fresno, Calif.; brother Ed Siler, of Huntington Beach, Calif., and eight granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his sister Barbara Lee. Inurnment with military honors will be at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley.
