SALT LAKE CITY, Utah- After inclement weather postponed the first two games of the season, the Reno Aces kicked-off the 2011 campaign Saturday night, falling 8-1 to the Salt Lake Bees at Spring Mobile Ballpark.
Salt Lake jumped on Aces starter Kevin Mulvey early and never looked back, pushing across four runs in the first and adding two more in the second to take a lead it would not relinquish.
Reno managed just three hits on the night, with its lone run coming in the fifth inning on a Wily Mo Pena solo home run. Collin Cowgill singled and walked in his Triple-A debut, and Tony Abreu added a sixth-inning single.
Today's doubleheader is set for a 1 p.m. first pitch. RHP Josh Collmenter gets the nod for Reno in game one, while LHP Zach Kroenkeis set to take the ball in the nightcap. The action can be heard live on Fox Sports 630 AM or by visiting www.RenoAces

After this season-opening road trip, the Aces' home opener at Aces Ballpark is set for Friday, April 15.
