Obituary: Carol Johnson Thornton

Carol Johnson Thornton, 75, of Carson City, died on April 16, 2011. She was born Aug. 31, 1935, in Bath, Maine, to Royal A, and Gladys (Olm) Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl F. Thornton. She is survived by her daughters Lisa Crowley of Carson City and Diane Wheatley of Bellingham, Maine; son John S. Crowley of Portland Maine, and Berkeley, Calif.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister Sandra Johnson and her husband Aldo Cerutti; brother Paul O. Johnson and his wife Carole of Bath; and special friend Al Craig of Carson City. A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. June 18 at Grace Episcopal Church in Bath.
