The community is invited to join Earth Day cleanup efforts with Carson City's Recreation Department and Chamber of Commerce.

Volunteers are needed from 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday at three staging areas around town, said Tillery Williams, the city's volunteer coordinator.

Volunteers can meet at any one of the following three staging areas:

• Fremont Elementary School parking lot along Saliman Road, to clean trash out of the Linear Ditch and along the trail.

• Retail Drive cul-de-sac north of Del Taco located at 822 College Parkway.

• Moffatt Open Space property's lower parking lot along Hells Bells Road.

Those who plan to attend should call 887-2262, ext. 7675, or e-mail twilliams@carson.org as soon as possible.

T-shirts will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis. All groups who donate a minimum of $50 will have their group name or logo printed on the back of the event shirt. Donations can be delivered in person or mailed to Carson City Parks and Recreation Department, 3303 Butti Way, Bldg. 9, Carson City, NV 89701.
