Obituary: Robert John Svetic Jr.

Robert John Svetic, Jr., 62, of Silver City, Nev., passed away at his home on July 27, 2011. He was born on July 6, 1949 in Hammond, Indiana to Robert John Svetic, Sr. and Geraldine Mae Gerdel. He is survived by his wife, Virginia; sons Micah Dumas of Mound House, Nev., and Will Svetic of the USS Abe Lincoln; sister Jenna Svetic of Lakeland, Florida; and 3 grandchildren. There will be a public viewing at Walton's Chapel of the Valley from 4-6 pm on Wednesday, August 3, 2011, and a Funeral Mass at St. Mary in the Mountains Catholic Church at 10 am on Thursday, August 4, 2011. A Graveside Service with Navy Honors will follow at the Virginia City Cemetery. There will be a gathering for family and friends at Virginia and Robert's home in Silver City.
