(AP) - Gov. Brian Sandoval has named a Las Vegas finance executive to the state Economic Forum, a panel that analyzes economic trends and projects state revenues.
Ken Wiles will fill the unexpired term of John Restrepo, former chairman of the five-member panel who resigned amid his own financial difficulties and bankruptcy filing.
Wiles currently serves as managing director of Acceleron, a firm specializing in investment banking and financial advisory services.
He is also a former finance professor at University of North Carolina's Kenan Flagler Business School.
Sandoval says Wiles' experience will provide vital insight as Nevada tries to regrow its economy.
His term on the Economic Forum will run through January 2012.
