Donald Ray McNeill, 65 was delivered by angels into the arms of the Great Spirit on Wednesday, August 17,2011. Don was born in Pasadena, CA. on October 3, 1945 to David Stuart and Georgia (Smith) McNeill Sr. Don was preceded in death by his father, his older brother David Stuart McNeill Jr., and a step-brother Melvin Getty.
Don is survived by his wife, Patricia 'PJ' McNeill; two sons, Donald Ray McNeill and James Carson McNeill; step-daughter, Dawn Michelle Fox; his mother, Georgia Mead; step-sister, Sydney MacIntire and half-brother, Gary Getty. The pride of his life were his grandchildren: Chelsi Rae McNeill, Jordan Ann McNeill, Amber Dawn Fox, Valentina Marie Hunter, Gene Timberwolf Osorio, Duke Redman Fox-Kochamp, Dallas Michael Fox-Kochamp, Thunder Fox Woodside, Damascus Trevor Fox Woodside, Chelsea Belle Woodside, Winter Delilah Fox-Woodside and great-grandson, Julius Fox Levy. Also, longtime friend and mother of his two sons, Pamela Gregg McNeill.
Don loved all outdoor activities and loved to compete in darts, pool, horseshoes and cribbage and won many awards. Don was a master of many things, electrician, machinist, rock hound, stone cutter and polisher and jewelry making. He was an artist and loved history, especially Native American related things. Don was a genius who could have done anything if given the opportunity. He will be missed and remembered by the hundreds of people whose lives he touched and influenced.
A celebration of Don's Life will be held Saturday September 3, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at 1st United Methodist Church on the corner of Musser and Division. The celebration will continue on Sunday September 4, 2011 starting at 1:00 P.M. at Ed's Doghouse on Airport Rd. in Carson City.
