Faith & Insight: We can be new creations

It has been suggested that the summation of all things is to be found in the very first verse of the Bible, "In the beginning (time), God (Force) created (energy) the heavens (space) and the earth (matter)." The Apostle Paul wrote, "God's invisible qualities - His eternal power and divine nature - have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made."

King David was awestruck at the creative work of God. David wrote,

"When I consider Your heavens,

the work of Your fingers,

the moon and the stars,

which You have set in place,

what is man that You are mindful of him,

the son of man that You care for him?

You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings

and crowned him with glory and honor."

David was equally impressed with God's love and care for man, the crown of His creation.

God is still creating. Paul writes of God's creative power, "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!"

Every design has a Designer. The creation did not create itself. A nonexistent universe did not wish itself into existence. Dead matter did not simply give birth to life. The fictional simple cell never did evolve into a man. No chance! The creation has a Creator.

Mankind has a Creator too. It has been said that "a self-made man has a fool for a maker." A changed life, an abundant life, a purposeful life, an eternal life - these are possible with God.

"If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come." Let God create something special with your life.
