Don Cave, 81, passed away Jan. 5, 2011, in Carson City. Don was born June 29, 1929, in Galesburg, Ill. He has been a resident of Carson City since 1947, moving here from Galesburg.
Don went to work for the Carson City Sheriff's department in 1956 as a deputy. During his law enforcement career he attained the rank of Captain, retiring in 1978.
Don will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Pat Cave. They were married Feb. 1, 1962, in Carson City. He also leaves behind a son, Richard Cave, and two daughters, Kathryn Parshley and her husband, Cap, and Debra Sorlien; six grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; and many dear friends.
There will be a Memorial service with military honors for Don on Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Walton's Chapel in Carson City.
