RENO (AP) - A Reno mother has been has been given a new sentence for the death of her infant daughter in 2004 after her original conviction was overturned by the Nevada Supreme Court.

Felicia Garcia Ramirez was sentenced Tuesday to 20 years in prison by Washoe District Judge Janet Berry. Ramirez pleaded guilty in December to child neglect causing death.

The 25-year-old mother previously was convicted by a jury of the March 2004 killing of her 16-day-old daughter, Trinity. She was sentenced to life in prison, with possible parole after serving 10 years.

A Reno newspaper reports that given time already spent behind bars, she could be eligible for parole in less than a year.

Ramirez was 18 when she was arrested and blamed the father for the baby's death.
