Health Inspections for Jan. 19

The following health inspections are for the period of Dec. 30-Jan. 10 :

• Subway #28790 Restaurant, 2073 Highway 50 East, scored 95 points. The 3-C sink is not properly set up during active dish washing. There is no sanitizer bucket set up at the front service counter to store wet wiping cloths in. At least one employee of this establishment must be a certified food handler during all operational hours.

• Kentucky Fried Chicken Restaurant, 2523 N. Carson St., scored 99 points. The floor sink under the soda dispenser at the drive-through window is not clean.

• B'Sghettis Inc. Restaurant, 318 N. Carson St., scores 95 points. The dishwasher has no measurable chlorine sanitizer issuing during the rinse cycle. The ice scoop is stored directly on top of the main ice machine.

• Royal Inn, 1718 N. Carson St., scored 100 points.

• Mi Casa Too Bar/Lounge, 3809 N. Carson St., scored 100 points.

• Save Mart Supermarkets #552 Meat Department, 3620 N. Carson St., scored 98 points. Lobster tank needs cleaning.

• Pho 8 Restaurant, 248 E. Winnie Lane, scored 100 points.

• 5 Buck Pizza Take Out, 240 E. Winnie Lane, scored 100 points.

• Super Mercado "El Torito" Retail Grocery, 304 E. Winnie Lane #308, scored 99 points. The fan guards in the walk-in cooler contained accumulated dust and debris.

• Super Mercado "El Torito" Meat Department, 304 E. Winnie Lane #308, scored 94 points. Improper procedures were used when washing items, utensils, in the 3-compartment sink. No hot water was available. Wash/rinse sanitizing water was not at the proper temperature for manual dish washing.

• San Marcos Grill Restaurant, 260 E. Winnie Lane, scored 100 points.

• San Marcos Grill Bar/Lounge, 260 E. Winnie Lane, scored 99 points. No alcohol warning sign was posted. NRS 446.842 requires food establishments which sell alcoholic beverages for consumption on premises to post signs concerning birth defects.

• Carson Horseshoe Club Bar/Lounge, 402 N. Carson St., scored 100 points.

• Old Globe Saloon Bar/Lounge, 407 N. Curry St., scored 99 points. Cleaning and maintenance tools are not properly stored. The mop bucket was found with dirty water in it.

• Chukar Mountain Grill Restaurant, 407 N. Curry St., scored 99 points. Cloths used on food-contact surfaces were found stored in a bucket without enough sanitizer residue.

• Juan's Mexican Grill #1 Restaurant, 402 N. Carson St., scored 100 points.

• Tommy's Neighborhood Bar/Lounge, 260 W. Winnie Lane, scored 100 points.

• Wendy's Restaurant, 2555 N. Carson St., scored 97 points. There was no certified food handler present at the time of this inspection.

• Wendy's Restaurant, 2555 N. Carson St., scored 100 points.

• Taco Bell #3 Restaurant, 4050 S. Carson St., scored 100 points.

• Bamboo Garden Restaurant, 3735 S. Carson St., scored 97 points. Various food items were found stored in the freezer and elsewhere without the required label showing the name and date. An accurate metal stem thermometer was not available to check food temperatures. The cloths used on food contact surfaces were found stored in a bucket without the required sanitizer.

• Bamboo Garden Restaurant, 3735 S. Carson St., scored 100 points.

• Beijing Palace Restaurant, 4250 Cochise St., scored 98 points. Various food items were found stored for later use which were not labeled with the date and name. Several cold holding units did not have the requires thermometers.

• Bistro @ Bryan Restaurant, 901 S. Stewart St., scored 100 points.
