Big 5 Sporting Goods will host a grand opening for its new location in the Southgate Shopping Center today.
The store, 4219 S. Carson St., opens at 10 a.m. and the first 100 customers will be eligible for a gift.
Its hours are 10 a.m. -9 p.m. Monday-Friday; 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday.
The sporting goods store used to be located in north Carson City, but opened its new 50,000 square foot location this month.
The company opened its Carson City location in 1997.
