Cheers & Kudos July 3

Carson City is a small city with

big-hearted people

During the last three summers in your fair city, it has been my good fortune to have met an exceedingly large number of very considerate and helpful people. Without going into detail, they and their employers cover a wide spectrum of businesses which I would like to publicly acknowledge as follows:

Cindy at Office Max, document preparation; "DJ" at Walmart, eyeglass repair; "Grizzly" at Walmart, auto service; Greg at Carson Station, customer service; Karen at Carson Station, banquet assistance; Leon at Fandango, customer service; Marie at the Nugget, property return; Steve at Nevada Division of Forestry, auto repair; Vanessa at Gold Dust West Grill, outstanding service.

All of these individuals went "beyond the normal call of duty" without any expectation of re-enumeration in providing outstanding customer service and truly deserve this recognition.

Sincerely,

Dave Knutsen

Dayton B&G Club exists thanks to help

I am writing to send special thanks and kudos to Bryan McGill and Capital Classic Productions of Carson City. When the Mason Valley Boys & Girls Clubs stepped in to help the Lyon County School District in 2010 with before and after school care we had little in the way of financial support. As the four sites in Dayton were opened, Bryan and his group have stepped forth each year to hold a Show and Shine in Dayton to help raise money for the Dayton clubs.

Bryan and Capital Classic Productions are true friends to the Boys & Girls Club. We now have over 400 members in Dayton and can only succeed because of people like Bryan and his friends.
