RENO (AP) - Two juveniles are being accused of starting a 25-acre wildfire that shut down U.S. 395's southbound lanes in Reno.
City spokeswoman Michele Anderson says investigators have questioned the two in connection with a Thursday night brush fire near Parr Boulevard that burned close to an apartment complex and some trailer homes.
No structural damage or injuries were reported.
Anderson says the two juveniles had been playing with fire, and have been referred to a Reno Fire Department youth program that stresses the dangers of such behavior.
She says they were not arrested, and no further details about them can be released due to possible pending charges.
The fire was contained shortly after 9 p.m., about two hours after it was first reported. U.S. 395's southbound lanes reopened later Thursday night.
