Carson City
The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent unless proved guilty in court:
• Amanda Valenzuela, 22, unemployed of Reno, was arrested at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday in the 800 block of East Musser Street on suspicion of felony uttering a forged instrument and obtaining money under false pretenses. She allegedly cashed a fraudulent check at an area casino. Bail was set at $20,000.
• A 23-year-old Dayton man was arrested at 11:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 1700 block of North Edmonds Drive on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery. Bail was set at $3,132.
• A 25-year-old construction worker from Carson City was arrested at 2 a.m. Wednesday at North Edmonds and Fairview drives on suspicion of misdemeanor possession of a hypodermic needle and possession of marijuana. Bail was set at $1,864.
• A 20-year-old unemployed Carson City man was arrested at 2:09 a.m. Tuesday on College Parkway on suspicion of domestic battery. Bail was set at $3,132.
Deputies responded Tuesday to these calls:
• Accident involving a vehicle and a bicycle at Arrowhead Drive and Bowers Lane at 8:08 a.m.
• Accident at 1:42 p.m. in the 1200 block of Mountain Street.
• A safe stolen from a Washoe Valley home on Sunday was found off Deer Run Road at 2:33 p.m.
• Report of a vehicle hitting a tree in the 1400 block of College Parkway at 5:56 p.m.
• A woman reported at 9:24 p.m. that $1,000 was missing from her Monte Rosa Drive home.
Lyon County
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:
• A "large amount of graffiti" was found on Sutro Elementary School in Dayton at 9:32 a.m.
• Two Silver Stage High School students were detained in the office at 10:11 a.m. for allegedly possessing drugs and drug paraphernalia.
• A Dayton woman reported at 11:43 a.m. that someone had been "messing with her electricity" and now she'd discovered her vehicle had been tampered with.
• A game console and other items were reported stolen from a Bramble Drive home in Fernley at 5:49 p.m.
