Thanks to participants in home and garden tour

The Carson City Historical Society would like to extend our thanks to the many volunteer docents who gave their Sunday afternoon for the annual Victorian Home and Garden Tour that concluded June 5.

We also wish to extend our thanks to former Supervisor Robin Williamson who graciously gave a talk on historic preservation and the inherent difficulties that entails. And finally thank you to those who participated in learning a little about the homes of those who came before us and of course the many people who allowed dozens of people to explore their homes for the benefit of the Society.

Pancake breakfast shows great community spirit

We live in a great place!

The Johnson Lane Volunteer Fire Department, Station 6, would like to thank all the great businesses who donated to our annual pancake breakfast fundraiser. We would also like to thank the wonderful members of our community who came out for breakfast, bought raffle tickets and bid on our fabulous array of donations. We are happy to report we were able to raise over $5,000.
