Taryn Williams of Minden was among 548 students who made the Dean's Honor List at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks for the fall semester. Williams is majoring in biological science. Students qualify for the Dean's List by maintaining a 3.6 grade point average in their academic subjects.
Angela Nelson, of Gardnerville, has been named to the dean's list of Academic Achievement for the Winter 2011 Term at Elmira College. She is majoring in biology-chemistry and is the daughter of Don and Diane Nelson. Elmira College is in upstate New York. The dean's list recognizes students that have a grade point average of 3.6 or higher for the Winter 2011 academic term.
Kathryn L. Cowperthwaite, of Carson City has been named to the dean's list for the spring 2011 semester at the University of Vermont. Cowperthwaite is a first-year English major in the College of Arts & Sciences. To be named to the dean's lists, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.
Yvonne Hollett, or Carson City was recently listed on the 2011 spring semester dean's list at the University of Portland. Hollett is a freshman biology major. Students need at least a 3.5 grade point average to be eligible for the dean's list.
Rachael Albi Lambin of Gardnerville is one of 145 students at the University of Nevada, Reno's College of Agriculture, Biotechnology and Natural Resources named to the Dean's List for the 2011 spring semester. She is a Nutritional Sciences major and the daughter of David and Deborah Lambin of Gardnerville. To be considered for this honor, students must declare a major in the college, complete 12 course credits and earn a 3.75 grade point average (A-) or higher for the semester.
Lambin has also been on the Dean's list at Western Nevada College in Carson City and holds associate degrees in art and geosciences. She plans to continue her education and attend medical school.
