According to AOL news travel, The Star Spangled Fourth's Lights on the Lake beats out San Francisco and Seattle and I have seen both so I imagine the South Lake Tahoe Fourth fireworks show over the water must be absolutely spectacular. I, however, love the old-time parade at Virginia City. There is fun everywhere this Fourth of July. Look below and check out the websites listed.

2011 Concert Under the Stars
Sometimes beauty is right in front of us but until someone actually points it out we don't even notice. Next time you are traveling down Main Street, slow down, watch out for pedestrians, and take a glance at the 52 amazing hanging baskets provided by the Greenhouse Project. June 1, trucks lent by Greenhouse Garden Center and Hungry Mother Organics picked up these beautiful baskets in one trip. Once back in Carson City, the Nevada Division of State Parks took charge of hanging the baskets up around the downtown area. The Greenhouse Project was started by a woman who doesn't just talk; Karen Abowd actually does what she says she is going to do. This fundraiser supports not only this project but the idea of making our downtown more dazzling. Come join Grammy winner, Booker T at the Third Annual Concert under the Stars at Adele's so more projects can be implemented to beautify Carson City.
