Business group to host joint breakfast meeting

Nevada Business Connections will host a joint breakfast meeting with the Reno Downtown Improvement Association and the Reno-Tahoe Winter Games Coalition on March 16 at the Atlantis Casino Resort and Spa in Reno.

Keynote speakers include Steven Polikalas, president of the Downtown Improvement Association; John Killoran, CEO of Reno-Tahoe Winter Games Coalition; and Kris Holt, executive director of Nevada Business Connections.

Doors open at 7:30 a.m. and the event ends at 9 a.m. Cost is $20 for members and $30 for guests.

NNDA forming health care committee

The Northern Nevada Development Authority is forming a Health Care Regional Action and Advisory Committee and will host an information meeting at 11:30 a.m. Friday.

The committee needs health care professionals at any level working in health care education, recruitment, coverage, federal options, health care reform review, health care maintenance and technology. It will be one of 10 other professional committees formed by the NNDA.

The meeting takes place at the NNDA office, 704 W. Nye St., Suite 201. Lunch will be served.

BAWN hosting membership meeting

The Builders Association of Western Nevada will host a general membership meeting at 5 p.m. Tuesday inside the Gold Dust West, 2171 US Highway 50 E.

The guest speaker is Michael Skaggs, the executive director of the Nevada Commission on Economic Development.

Dinner will be served at 6 p.m.
