Capital Ford will host a fundraiser at Carson High School 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday in an attempt to raise $6,000 for the Carson High Safe Grad Program.
As part of the Drive One 4 UR School fundraising program, the Carson City car dealer will offer test drives on a variety of Ford cars - each test drive resulting in a $20 donation from Ford to the Safe Grad Program up to $6,000.
The Safe Grad Program is designed to encourage Carson High School students to celebrate their graduation with a safe evening of entertainment, games, food and friends. Event coordinators will transport students from the graduation ceremony to the local community center, where they will spend the night and then be taken via chartered bus to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom the next morning.
The event will take place in the Carson High School parking lot, 1111 North Saliman Road.
One test drive is allowed per household. The driver must be 18 or older and licensed. No car seats are allowed in the test cars.
The test drive should last about five to seven minutes.
