Smart boys: The Gold Hill News says that because of recent changes in the atmosphere, the boys of the Comstock were obligated to call in their tops and marbles and get out their sleds. The Carson Valley boy who starts out with a sled in the morning, also carries along his top and marbles in case of a thaw and a kite under arm, to be ready for any sudden breeze that might spring up.
