The Sierra Front-Northwestern Great Basin Resource Advisory Council will meet at 8 a.m. Wednesday at the BLM-Carson City District Office, 5665 Morgan Mill Road.
The public may present general written and/or oral comments to the council at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
A field trip will be conducted, weather permitting, at 8 a.m. Thursday, which will include stops at various public land sites in Churchill County before returning to the district office by 5 p.m.
Members of the public are invited to participate both days, but they will need to provide their own transportation and lunch on the field trip on Thursday.

Topics of discussion will include the district manager's reports on current program of work, landscape approach/land health assessment processes, impacts to proposed wind energy projects in eagle habitat, BLM wildlands policy, geothermal program review, Salt Wells Energy Projects Draft Environmental Impact Statement, field tour of a geothermal power plant at Salt Wells in Churchill County, Nevada historic marker dedication for Pony Express Trail at the plant at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, and other topics brought up by council members.
At 1 p.m. Wednesday, a special presentation will be made of Southern Nevada Public Land Management Act Round 12 preliminary project funding recommendation, and the council will host a public comment period specific to the proposals.
