Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• A 22-year-old student from Gardnerville, was arrested at 12:11 a.m. Thursday at Curry and Fifth streets on a Lyon County warrant for misdemeanor battery.

• A 30-year-old unemployed Carson City man was arrested at 1:06 p.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of South Carson Street on a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant. Bail was set at $500.

• A 22-year-old unemployed Carson City man was arrested at 11:39 a.m. Wednesday in the 1400 block of North Peters Street on a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant. Bail was set at $1,000.

• A 33-year-old unemployed Carson City man was arrested at 12:10 p.m. Tuesday in the 900 block of North Saliman Road on a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant. Bail was set at $507.

• A 55-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 10:48 a.m. Tuesday in the 1000 block of Rand Avenue on a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant. Bail was set at $392.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:

• Report of a backpack with wires hanging out of it found unattended near a vehicle in the 2800 block of Sherman Lane at 7:38 a.m. A deputy discovered the backpack contained a car charger.

• Report at 8:08 a.m. of a purse stolen overnight from a vehicle parked in the 4200 block of Knoblock Road. It was the second time a purse was stolen from the caller's car.

• Report at 4:07 p.m. of damage to the interior of a motor home parked on La Loma Drive.

• Coroner call at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center at 5:32 p.m.

• A mother on North Carson Street reported at 10:25 p.m. she hadn't seen her 13-year-old daughter since the morning.

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:

• Report at 7:18 a.m. of a pickup truck rolling unoccupied down Welle Drive in Mark Twain.

• Report of a brush fire on Riverpark Parkway in Mark Twain at 7:33 a.m.

• A herd of cattle was reported in the middle of Highway 50 East in Silver Springs at 9:54 a.m.

• A man requested a deputy stand by while he broke into his foreclosed Dayton house to retrieve his cat locked inside.

• Misdemeanor arrest on Highway 95 Alternate in Fernley at 2:39 p.m.

• A 1987 Suzuki rock crawler and trailer were reported stolen from James Court in Mound House at 4:17 p.m.

• Coroner call in the 1200 block of North Clover Lane in Fernley at 5:25 p.m.

Storey County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded recently:

• A 25-year-old Sparks man surrendered Tuesday at 4:37 p.m. to the Storey County Sheriff's Office on Virginia City and Sparks warrants.

• A 36-year-old Reno man was arrested Tuesday on a warrant alleging he violated a protective order. Bail was set at $3,000.

• A 42-year-old Salinas, Calif., man was arrested Wednesday on State Route 341 near the county line on a Sparks warrant. Bail was set at $614.
