(AP) - Lifting a constitutional ban in Nevada on a state lottery will be discussed during a legislative hearing.
Senate Joint Resolution 1 was proposed by the Nevada Youth Legislature.
It would allow a state lottery, something currently banned by the constitution.
Amending the constitution would require the measure to be approved by both the 2011 and 2013 Legislatures, and voters in 2014.
The Senate Committee on Legislative Operations and Elections will hear testimony on the proposal Tuesday.
