STEAD (AP) - Urban Outfitters has announced plans to build a new regional facility in the Reno area that will bring hundreds of jobs to northern Nevada.

Officials for the Reno-based Dermondy Properties and United Construction Co. said Wednesday they finalized the deal to build the 462,000-square foot facility in a Stead business park.

With plans to eventually expand to nearly twice that size, it will serve as the Philadelphia-based specialty company's Western regional hub for Internet orders. It's expected to employ 150 full-time workers when it opens in June 2012, with as many as 665 construction and other jobs created along the way.

Gov. Brian Sandoval says he personally talked to Urban Outfitters executives, but that Dermondy and United Construction deserve the credit for bringing the company to Nevada.
